Visit the castle exhibition and embark on a journey through time. Get close to the natural spectacle, the Rhine Falls, and on the adventure trail experience the less known and recognized, side of the largest waterfalls in Europe.

SV Schweiz has developed a new concept for gastronomy in Schloss Laufen. The natural spectacle, the cultural heritage and gastronomy melt into an impressive and all-embracing experience for the visitor.

The à la carte restaurant, «Castello», the former banner hall, boasts a total of 70 seats as well as a lounge area. Noble silver-grey hangings, black leather armchairs, torches and tables set in white allow a warm, pleasant atmosphere. The culinary selection specialises in local food and seasonal offers. Also exclusive 5-course gourmet menus, and on Sundays, ‘Knight Brunches’ are offered. The à la carte restaurant will be open from Monday to Sunday. In good weather guests can dine on the terrace, which has 180 seats available.

Right next to «Castello», in the former Laufen parlour, there is a children’s restaurant, «Castellino», which will have the same opening times as the à la carte restaurant. It is furnished with stately home furniture suitable for children, wooden parquet floor and a historical tile stove. A maximum of 22 children are taken care of on Sundays by qualified staff. The offer includes a children’s welcome drink and kids’ classics that they can make on their own, e.g. crêpes, that are filled by the children, pasta dishes with various sauces, different salads and toppings that can be combined. Children’s birthday parties can be catered for on request in Schloss Laufen.

The visitor centre includes a self-service restaurant with over 40 seats and there is a spacious terrace with 180 seats available. Here the visitors can enjoy snacks as well as wok and pasta dishes. Furthermore, there is a ticket centre and a souvenir shop located in the visitor centre. The opening times are from Mondays to Sundays from 9am to 7pm. The Rhine Falls Hall in the visitor centre’s renovated attic is suitable for meetings and seminars for up to 50 participants.
